LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Mustard Seed and Lethbridge Soup Kitchen are coming together.

The two organizations are joining forces to help more people in the community and will collectively be known as The Mustard Seed Lethbridge.

“After much careful consideration, the two organizations have determined that they can accomplish more together than they can apart. Building on their shared mission and faith-based values, as well as their individual strengths and expertise, the two organizations will be able to provide enhanced services and programs to more people,” read a joint release from the organizations.

The Mustard Seed CEO Stephen Wile said they are honored to partner with the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen.

“The Lethbridge Soup Kitchen has provided a crucial service and ministry to this community for more than three decades. They have impacted countless lives,” he stated.

The soup kitchen has served the Lethbridge area for the past 36 years.

“With this highly anticipated merger, which is fully supported by our Board of Directors, with an organization we have a deep respect for, we will be in an even better position to restore and enhanced the dignity of the people we serve,” said Bill Ginther, executive director of the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen Association.

“We feel that this merger is akin to a marriage made in heaven, as both organizations operate on deeply held Christian values. We thank our many local donors, supporters and suppliers and trust that they will continue to support us as The Mustard Seed Lethbridge.”
