Hurricanes trade Zach Ashton to Vancouver

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have picked up an additional draft pick in a trade with the Vancouver Giants.

2001-born defenseman Zach Ashton will make his way to the coast after being acquired by Lethbridge in October from the Seattle Thunderbirds.

The Calgary product appeared in 41 games with the T-Birds in 2019-2020, totalling seven assists along with a minus-9 rating and 27 penalty minutes.

In exchange, the Hurricanes will get a conditional 2023 draft pick.
