Alberta sees 900 new COVID cases Saturday

EDMONTON, AB– Alberta Health Services has released their “modified update” on COVID-19 for Saturday, detailing statistics compiled over the past 24 hours from January 1st, 2021.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw provided a brief overview of today’s numbers. It does not give a regional or community-level breakdown.
Approximately 900 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 103,828.
Around 12,700 tests were conducted in this period, meaning the positivity rate rests around seven per cent.
