Dylan Cozens added to Buffalo Sabres training camp roster

BUFFALO, NY – After a stellar performance at the World Juniors, Dylan Cozens is being called up.

The 19-year-old Lethbridge Hurricane was selected seventh overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. On Wednesday, Buffalo announced that Cozens has been added to the Sabres’ training camp roster.

He’s expected to join the team on the ice in the coming days.

On Tuesday night, the World Juniors tournament wrapped up in Edmonton, with the United States capturing gold by defeating Canada 2-0.

In seven games at the tournament, Cozens recorded 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

In addition to Cozens, the Sabres announced that his Team Canada teammate Jack Quinn has been added to the training camp roster.

Quinn was selected eighth overall in 2020 and finished the tournament with five points and a plus-10 rating.

Defenseman Ryan Jones has been added to the roster as well, on a professional tryout contract.

Jones is on a one-year deal with the Rochester Americans. He spent the last four seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he scored four goals and recorded 38 assists for 42 points in 141 career games.
