2021 Alberta Nutrient Management Seminar Series set to go

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — With Covid-19 still a factor to contend with, agriculture seminars have shut their doors and opened their computers and cameras.

This year`s Alberta Nutrient Management series has shifted to an online, virtual format. Something that’s become popular with those wanting the information, but not wanting to drive to another community and possibly encounter inclement weather.

The eight segment series is being presented by Lethbridge College and the Counties of Newell, Lethbridge and Warner. Industry experts have organized the information into four main categories:

— Soil Health

— Alternate nutrient management strategies

— New techniques, technologies and precision Agriculture

— Environmental Stewardship

The seminars begin January 11 and will run most Monday`s from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Mountain time January 11 to to March .

Those interested in the weekly virtual-conference can sign-up on-line, with registration fees listed at a modest $35 or $10 for students.
