Mayors issue joint statement ahead of 911 EMS dispatch consolidation
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Mayors concerned about the consolidation of 911 EMS dispatch continue to voice their issues with the province’s plan.

Four municipally run contracted satellite dispatch sites, in Lethbridge, Red Deer, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and Calgary, are set to be transitioned to one of three existing Alberta Health Services EMS dispatch centres.
Lethbridge mayor Chris Spearman, Red Deer’s Tara Veer and Don Scott with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo have issued a joint statement. The consolidation of 911 EMS dispatch is expected to begin on January 12 in their municipalities.
