Woman charged with fraud and breach of conditions in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB– Lethbridge Police have charged a Calgary woman with nine fraud and breach of conditions related charges.

The woman was charged after an incident occurred at a northside business Saturday, January 9, 2021.

The woman attempted to return items with computer-generated, forged receipts to a store in the 3100-block of 26 Avenue North.

She then left without receiving anything in return and was arrested nearby in a traffic stop relating to a breach of conditions.

Police searched her vehicle and found a computer, printer, stolen receipt paper, as well as more than $2,500 in stolen property and about 100 receipts from stores across the same business chain throughout Central and Southern Alberta.

Kristie Constantinoff, 35, has been charged with: theft under $5,000; two counts of breach of conditions; fraud under $5,000; two counts of possession of stolen property; possession of forged documents; possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000; and uttering a forged document.

Constantinoff was released from custody to appear in court February 4, 2021.
