CEDAR PARK, TEXAS – It was a successful start to the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour for a Claresholm rider.

Logan Biever is the lone Canadian currently competing in the United States. This weekend, he took part in the season-launching Cedar Park Chute Out in Texas.

He was the runner-up in the first round with a score of 87.5 points on Wired Up (Rafter B Bucking Bulls/Harris). Unfortunately, on the second day of competition Saturday (Jan. 16), Biever was unable to reach the eight. He was bested by Perfect Pistol (Winston Bucking Bulls/Melton Bull Co.) in 3.21 seconds in the event’s second round.

In the championship round, V7 (Silent 7/Hilton Bull Co.) got the better of Biever in 3.4 seconds.

For his strong effort, the Canadian netted four world points and $867.90. He’s now tied for 34th place in the PBR world standings. Brazil’s Mauricio Moreira sits at number-one.

J.T. Moore of Alvin, Texas claimed first place at the Cedar Park Chute Out thanks to a perfect 3-for-3 performance over the course of the two-night event. He now sits in fifth in the world standings.
