CASTLE MOUNTAIN RESORT – First responders can hit the slopes at Castle Mountain for a discounted rate.

The resort is offering a 25 percent discount on midweek lift tickets for eligible first responders.

That group includes Canadian-based police, fire, EMS, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and members of the military.

“New for the 2021 ski season, Castle is pleased to offer first responders a special discount on lift tickets as a gesture of appreciation for all of the important work done by frontline workers, particularly as we continue to battle the pandemic,” read a notice from the resort.

The discount offer is valid Monday to Friday this season, with the exception of February 12 through 21, 2021. The lower rate applies to regularly priced full day/full mountain tickets and it can be applied to online pre-purchases as well as on-site ticket sales (subject to availability).

More on the discounted rate for first responders is available here.

“Castle continues to welcome all Albertans to enjoy winter activities at the resort as we move into the new year. With lockdown still in effect across the province, the ski hill has also seen a surge in interest among those new to skiing and snowboarding.”

The resort said it continues to offer private lessons and is offering family lessons to help facilitate safe learning opportunities while respecting the current limitations on cohorts.
