Feb 13, 2021 | 9:00 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB– Hockey Fans In Training (FIT) is a program dedicated to giving men aged 35-65 the opportunity to get active and lose some weight – for free.

The program originally was scheduled for April of 2020, but then was rescheduled to January, and has been delayed yet again due to the pandemic.

The government-funded initiative comes from research conducted at Western University and proven training programs that help men lose weight through a 12-week cycle.

Hockey FIT is partnered with the University of Lethbridge, and the Western Hockey League, to promote a healthy lifestyle approach to life.

For Lethbridge participants, Hockey FIT is also partnered with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, so when you are in this program you will use the Hurricanes’ facilities and equipment to better yourself.

All in-person sessions will comply with strict public health guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants during the pandemic.

Hockey FIT is recruiting participants now. No dates have currently been set – dates will be set once participants are signed-up.
