Second case of COVID confirmed at Winston Churchill High School

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Winston Churchill High School.

The Lethbridge School Division says the Medical Officer of Health has started an investigation and officials are working to determine who may have been exposed at the school. However, the division said the risk of the general population becoming infected due to the cases is low.

Close contacts will be notified by email and instructed to quarantine.

Enhanced cleaning measures will be taken at the Lethbridge school.

“If you are not contacted, your child is not a close contact and can attend school as usual, following all public health guidance,” the division stated.
