Public’s help needed in identifying restaurant break-in suspect

LETHBRIDGE, AB – ***Update – LPS have identified a suspect in this robbery and thank the public for their assistance.

Police in Lethbridge are investigating a break-in at a local restaurant.

LPS stated that an unknown male entered Fusion Sushi (1104 Mayor Magrath Dr. S.) at around 7:50 p.m. on February 14. According to police, the man hid in an area of the restaurant that is under renovation.

Several hours later, once staff had left the business, police say the man damaged and removed video cameras and other equipment.

He also reportedly stole items such as computer tablets with menu-ordering software worth more than $10,000 and over $1,600 in cash. Damage to the business exceeded $5,000.

The investigation is on-going, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
