Alberta Beef Producers launch “Daily” information platform

Feb 19, 2021 | 3:27 PM

CALGARY, AB. — The line-up of new services provided by Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) continues to grow.

ABP stakeholder and Communication Lead, Katelyn Laverdure, explains that along with the arrival of the ABP magazine that went out last week they have also launched abpdaily.com

“This is our new on-line communications platform that’s been developed to provide real-time, curated, digital content for producers. The platform will be a mobile news source with daily updates on market reports, research and technology, business management, ABP initiatives and information from across the industry.”

Laverdure says ABP is also in the process of finalizing an app, which you’ll be able to download to your smart phone.

You can register at the bottom of their home page to receive news alerts and be the first to hear when the app will be available.

The ABP Annual General Meeting is coming up soon and Laverdure explains what to expect.

“Things have been busy at ABP, as we’re getting ready for our AGM, that will be taking place virtually on March 4. Our director elections are happening prior to the AGM and they’ll be announced during the session. We typically present our Environmental Stewardship award during the AGM but, we’ll be adding that to the list of things we’re doing a little differently this year and we will present it during a producer town hall in the spring.”
