35-year-old pedestrian sent to hospital following serious collision with vehicle in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision.

On Monday, March 1, a 35-year-old woman was sent to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The woman was a pedestrian crossing Mayor Magrath Drive when she was struck by a northbound vehicle. Police arrived on the scene at Mayor Magrath South and 10 Avenue South just after 9:00 p.m.

LPS say the woman has no fixed address and was first brought to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. She was then transported to hospital in Calgary.

The Traffic Response Unit was called out and has taken over the investigation. Police say neither speed nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the collision.
