Medicine Hat couple awakened by unknown male in house, Lethbridge male arrested

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A couple in the Southwest Hill neighbourhood awoke to an unwanted visitor in their house in the early morning hours on Tuesday.

Following an interaction between the couple and the unknown male, the male fled the scene. He was arrested by patrol officers a short time later, and property stolen from the residence was recovered.

There were no physical injuries from the incident and Victim Services support has been offered to the couple.

A 33-year-old Lethbridge male is held in custody and charged with break and enter to a dwelling as well as failing to comply with a court order.
