City police are asking the public for help in finding a suspect involved in the robbery of a senior.

Lethbridge Police say on Sunday, March 7, a man walked into a business in the 500-block of 13 Street North at around 1:30 p.m. LPS report that the man grabbed cash that an 81-year-old senior had placed on the counter to pay for his purchase, then pushed the victim aside.

The 81-year-old followed the suspect out of the store to a blue-coloured Ford Escape parked outside.

Police say the victim reached into the open window of the vehicle to try and get his money back. The suspect put the vehicle in reverse and a nearby witness managed to pull the victim away so he wouldn’t be hurt,

The victim also lost his ring and suffered a small cut on his hand but did not require medical attention.
