Lethbridge Public Library reopening March 17 with restrictions

LETHBRIDGE, AB– Both branches of the Lethbridge Public Library are allowed to open after over two months of being closed.

In accordance with Alberta’s public health restrictions, libraries are able to open with a 15 per cent capacity, and starting March 17, the Lethbridge Public Library will be reopening with limited services and new hours.

Restrictions put in place and services provided may change based on the evolving situation and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

The following hours and changes have been highlighted.

Main Branch:

Monday-Tuesday: 10am – 8pm

Wednesday-Saturday: 10am – 5:30pm

Sunday: 1pm – 5:00pm

Crossings Branch:

Monday-Wednesday: 10am – 5:30pm

Thursday-Friday: 10am – 8pm

Saturday: 10am – 5:30pm

Sunday: 1pm – 5:00pm

Curbside pickup hours are the following:

Monday-Saturday 10am – 4pm

Sunday 1pm – 4pm

Staff & customers, building access will be limited to:

• Main Branch: Children’s Services Desk & Computer Services area
• Crossings Branch: Customer Services Desk & some Computer Stations
• Bookmobile will be available for Curbside Pick Up ONLY

Borrowing & Returns:

• Curbside Pick Up will remain operational at all branches.
• Grab & Go Pick Up will be available at the Main and Crossings branches where customers can come into a designated area of the branch to pick up their pre-ordered materials.

Computer Access:

Limited computer use access will be available at the Main and Crossings branches and limited to 45-minute sessions.

Sessions will run on the hour starting at 10 a.m. and end 1 hour before closing. Access to these areas
will be limited to 10 customers per session at the Main Branch and 5 customers per session at the Crossings Branch.
