Two charged in Granum break and enter

GRANUM, AB– Claresholm RCMP have laid charges against two Albertans in a break and enter in Granum.

On March 21, at 3:30 pm, 911 received a call about a reported break and enter, and theft.

“The complaint was that a homeowner was detaining two suspects who were trying to leave his property after being caught breaking in,” RCMP says.

A second 911 call was made by one of the suspects alleging that the homeowner was threatening them with a shotgun.

Claresholm, Nanton, and Fort Macleod RCMP detachments all immediately responded with the two suspects being arrested without incident.

Samuel Shawn Fralick, 24, of Blairmore is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • possession of stolen property
  • possession of break in instruments
  • failing to comply with a previous release order

Stacey May Hubbard, 30, of High River is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • possession of stolen property
  • possession of break-in instruments

Fralick was released and will appear in Provincial Court in Fort MacLeod on March 31, 2021.

Hubbard was released and will appear in Provincial Court in Fort MacLeod on May 19, 2021.

The investigation into the actions of the homeowner, who is alleged to have fired a ‘warning shot’ is ongoing by the RCMP.
