Online learning extended for Grades 5 and 6 at St. Paul School due to COVID

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has confirmed an additional case of COVID-19 at St. Paul School in Lethbridge.

There are now two active infections at the school. As a result, the online learning period for grade 5 and 6 classes has been extended. Students in those grades will return after their Easter Break on April 12, 2021, according to the division.

Close contacts have been notified and are required to quarantine. It was not reported if the new infection involved a staff member or student.

As of Tuesday, March 23, there are 12 active cases within the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division.

Four cases are at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge, one at Our Lady of the Assumption School (Lethbridge), three at St. Catherine School in Picture Butte, two at St. Francis Junior High School (Lethbridge) and two at St. Paul School.

These cases have resulted in the isolation of roughly 295 staff and students.
