Lethbridge College reduces application fees by half this month

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge College is making it a bit easier for new students to enroll.

The college has cut its application fee in half during the month of April, as it preps to welcome students back to campus this fall.

“We have been marvelling at students of all ages who have shown great resilience as they’ve navigated a year of uncertainty and change,” said Lethbridge College president and CEO Dr. Paula Burns.

“We hope this savings in the application fee might make it easier to take that first step to a post-secondary education, whether students are interested in coming for a semester, a certificate, a diploma or a degree.”

The savings will be applied automatically to any student who applies until April 30 online, reducing the usual $100 application processing fee to $50. The savings cannot be given to students who have already applied (before April 1).

“We know how much our students value the on-campus experience, and we can’t wait to introduce them to the activities and events that make college life so meaningful,” said Dr. Samantha Lenci, Lethbridge College Provost and Vice-President – Academic.

“From Kodiaks games to work-integrated learning experiences, we’re ready to make some amazing memories with these future students.”

Last month, officials from the post-secondary institution announced that they would be working hard to safely welcome students back to campus for most classes in the fall.

Specific details on which classes will be offered on-campus will be finalized in the coming months, but it’s expected that every program, except for those with traditionally online-only classes, will have an on-campus presence in the fall.

Prospective students can visit Lethbridge College’s website to take a virtual tour, speak with a recruiter or learn more about living in residence. Students who would like to apply can do so here.
