Devon Dempsey named new Principal of St. Francis Junior High

LETHBRIDGE, AB – St. Francis Junior High School in Lethbridge has a new person in charge.

Devon Dempsey has accepted the role of Principal.

“I am excited and looking forward to calling St. Francis home and becoming a part of the Wildcat family,” says Dempsey. “I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the staff, students, and families of CCH for making the past four years so wonderful.”

She comes into the role with Bachelors degrees in arts and education from the University of Lethbridge, a Masters in educational leadership from Gonzaga University, and a Masters in business administration from the University of Liverpool.

Dempsey has worked in the education sector for the last 15 years with the most recent five being in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division.

“Mrs. Dempsey has an impressive breadth of teaching and administrative experience at the local, provincial, and international levels,” states Superintendent Ken Sampson. “This, together with her strong relationship-building skills and extensive training, will serve her well in leading the learning community of St. Francis Junior High School, going forward.”
