Canes score second win over Red Deer this weekend

LETHBRIDGE, AB – So far in this weekend’s series, the Lethbridge Hurricanes are up two games to zero over the Red Deer Rebels.

At the ENMAX Centre Saturday, the Canes came out with a 5-2 victory.

While the Rebels hit the net first, Justin Hall got Lethbridge on the scoreboard thanks to a power play 11:29 into the first period.

Liam Kindree followed that up with a goal near the end of the period.

The second period saw points from Logan Barlage and Noah Boyko.

Another goal from Red Deer closed out the second.

Boyko hit the net for a second time at the 13:54 mark of the third period, securing Lethbridge the victory.

Barlage and Hall were the two stars of the game for the Hurricanes.

Friday’s game saw the Canes defeat Red Deer 6-3.

Although Lethbridge has won the best of three series, they and the Rebels face off one more time on Monday.
