LETHBRIDGE, AB – Those living in the Copperwood area of West Lethbridge and around Temple Boulevard West are advised of some upcoming road work.

Starting April 19, a Métis Trail closure will be in place between Whoop-Up Drive and Coalbrook Gate West.

The section between Whoop-Up Drive and Coalbanks Link West will be closed for about 11 days, depending on weather. This closure means residents should access the Copperwood neighborhood via Coalbanks Gate West until construction in that section of Métis Trail is finished.

The section of Métis Trail south of the Coalbanks Link West roundabout to Coalbrook Gate West, including the intersection at Temple Boulevard West will stay closed for the remainder of the construction season.

That closure means there will not be access between Temple Boulevard West and Whoop-Up Drive or 25 Street West until construction is complete. Residents should access the neighborhoods off of Temple Boulevard from Columbia Boulevard West or McMaster Boulevard West.
