Hitmen down Hurricanes 7-2

LETHBRIDGE, AB– In the second game of their three-game series between the Lethbridge Hurricanes and the Calgary Hitmen, the Hitmen came out hot down the end stretch of the game.

First Period:

Sean Tschigerl kicked the scoring off for the Hitmen 10 minutes into the first frame.

Less than a minute later, Liam Kindree responds for the Hurricanes to make the game 1-1.

The game is tied 1-1 after the first period.

Second Period:

Brandon Whynott scores his first goal of the game five minutes into the second.

Chase Wheatcroft answered for the Hurricanes to tie the game up at two goals apiece.

Cael Zimmerman, Zac Funk, and Sean Tschigerl add goals for the Hitmen to push the lead to 5-2.

Hitmen lead 5-2 after the second period.

Third Period:

Josh Prokop adds to the lead with a goal at the start of the third period.

Sean Tschigerl scored his third goal of the game to complete the hat trick and to push the lead to 7-2.

The Hitmen take the second of the three-game stretch against the Hurricanes and play again on April 25.
