WICHITA, Kansas – Claresholm’s Logan Biever finished in the top ten at this weekend’s PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s Wichita Invitational.

The Albertan placed tenth at the event at INTRUST Bank Arena. His fifth top ten finish of the season at the PBR Wichita Invitational was headlined by an 83-point ride on Tino (Clark View Farms) in the championship round.

The 23-year-old earned four world points at the event with his 1-for-3 showing. He’s now ranked 49 points outside of the top 30 in the world rankings and has secured his career-first berth to the PBR Unleash The Beast.

In Wichita, the Claresholm rider was joined by fellow Canadians Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, B.C.) and Riley Gagnon of Innisfail, Alberta. Both failed to reach the requisite eight aboard their bovine athlete opponents.

An event was held in tandem with the Wichita Invitation, and that was the Touring Pro Division’s Yavapai Bottle Gas Mile High PBR, presented by Coors Light and Navajo Nation.

Coronation, Alberta’s Tanner Eno, Red Deer’s Ashton Sahli and Tyler Craig of Crossfield all competed at the event in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Each of the three riders barely missed the whistle, earning zero world points.

Earlier last week, Biever and Gardner competed in California at the annual Clovis Touring Pro Division event. Gardner narrowly missed the championship round and tied for tenth courtesy of his 83-point ride on Hawaiian Bond (Flying U/Cindy Rosser).

Up next on the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour is a competition in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Buc Days PBR Chute Out, presented by Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers takes place at American Bank Center April 30-May 1.
