LPS arrests man on drug and weapon charges

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man has been put behind bars following an investigation into drug trafficking.

Lethbridge Police made the arrest on the 500 block of 8 Street South around 3:45 pm.

The suspect had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Officers claim the man pulled out a knife before dropping it to the ground. He was then arrested without incident.

Police confiscated 10.6 grams of fentanyl worth over $2,000 and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Cory Bruce Hagen, 39, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and breach of a release order.

Hagen remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing on May 6.
