New case of COVID at St. Teresa of Calcutta School, four active

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has reported another case of COVID-19.

The new infection is at St. Teresa of Calcutta School.

There are now four active infections at the Lethbridge school.

All close contacts have been notified and are required to quarantine. It could not be reported if the infected individual is a staff member or student.

As of Wednesday night, May 12, there are nine active cases within the division:

  • Four at St. Teresa of Calcutta School (Lethbridge)
  • One at St. Patrick School (Taber)
  • One at St. Michael’s School (Pincher Creek)
  • One at St. Mary School (Taber)
  • One at St. Francis Junior High School (Lethbridge)
  • One at Ecole St. Mary (Lethbridge)

These cases have resulted in the isolation of roughly 230 staff and students.
