Lethbridge man taken to hospital after single-vehicle collision near Brooks

BROOKS, AB – A Lethbridge male is in hospital following a single-vehicle collision near Brooks on Wednesday morning.

RCMP say the vehicle left the road and struck a large tree on Township Road 19-2 (also known as Joanne Trucking Road) near Range Road 14-5 on the outskirts of Brooks at about 8:00 am.

The Brooks RCMP, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the call.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to Brooks Hospital via ground ambulance and later transported to Foothills Hospital in Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.

Further investigation found that the car, a 2015 silver Chevrolet Malibu, was recently stolen from Lethbridge.
