Holy Spirit Catholic Division reports COVID case at Picture Butte school

PICTURE BUTTE, AB – A case of COVID-19 has been reported at St. Catherine School in Picture Butte.

It’s the only active infection at the school and the only active case within the Holy Spirit Catholic Division. All close contacts have been informed and are required to quarantine. The division could not say whether the infected individual is a staff member or student.

In a statement, Holy Spirit said that, “as always, we continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.”

The case at St. Catherine School has resulted in the isolation of roughly 20 staff and students.
