Sunday morning garage fire causes $50,000 in damages

LETHBRIDGE, AB – 21 firefighters responded to a south Lethbridge garage fire early Sunday morning.

At around 4:07 a.m., crews responded to the scene in the 600 block of 5 Street South. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze.

Three vehicles and a trailer were damaged as a result. Fortunately, though, no injuries were reported and adjacent homeowners were safely evacuated.

The fire caused approximately $50,000 worth of damage upon the initial estimate. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
