2021 PBR Canada Cup Series schedule announced, season starts in Lethbridge August 27

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The schedule for the 2021 PBR Canada Cup Series has been announced.

In its sixth season, the Cup Series will hold six, two-day events throughout the year, enthralling bull riding fans in six cities across the province and in Saskatchewan. In a league first, the 2021 PBR Canada National Finals will take place in Edmonton, relocating to the home of the Edmonton Oilers, Rogers Place.

In 2021, the Canadian Cup Series will kick-off in Lethbridge at the ENMAX Centre, with the two-day event scheduled to take place August 27 and 28.

Prior to COVID-19 shut-downs, Dakota Buttar of Kindersley Saskatchewan won the March 2020 event in Lethbridge, marking one of his six event victories en route to the 2020 PBR Canada Championship.

The city also hosted a double-header in July 2020 with Brock Radford (De Winton, Alberta) and Ty Ellis (Sonningdale, Saskatchewan) tying for victory at the opening iteration of the event. Garrett Green of Meeting Creek, Alberta won the third event of the season in Lethbridge later that evening, which also marked the first fan-attended sporting event in Canada since the start of the pandemic.

After this season’s event in Lethbridge, the PBR Canada’s Cup series will move on to Grande Prairie October 1 to 2. The 2021 campaign will then continue into Medicine Hat October 15-16 and in Calgary October 22-23. The regular season will then wrap up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan October 29-30 before the finals in Edmonton November 12-13.

The Canada’s Cup Series will broadcast on TSN, as well as internationally via RidePass, PBR’s Western sports digital network. Below is a full listing of the season schedule:
