Hurricanes announce 2021-2022 home schedule

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have announced their home schedule for the 2021-2022 season.

The ‘Canes will host 34 regular season games at the ENMAX Centre. The first, the Dairy Queen Home Opener, will take place on Friday, October 1 with Lethbridge against the Calgary Hitmen.

As previously announced by the Western Hockey League (WHL), the 2021-2022 season will not feature any interlocking conference games, so the home schedule includes a total of 34 games against Eastern Conference opponents.

Lethbridge will host Central Division teams and the Swift Current Broncos four times each. Fans will get the chance to watch the WHL’s first-ever Exceptional Status Player, Connor Bedard and his Regina Pats, as well as the Moose Jaw Warriors three times each. The Prince Albert Raiders, Saskatoon Blades, Brandon Wheat Kings and Winnipeg ICE will all make the trip to Lethbridge twice during the 2021-2022 season.

The 2021-2022 season will contain 68 games with full capacity in a “fan-friendly and safe environment” across all WHL markets. The complete Eastern Conference schedule will be announced at a later date.

Additionally, the Hurricanes will start their pre-season on Friday, September 17 at the ENMAX Centre against the Medicine Hat Tigers in the first of a four-game exhibition schedule.
