Lethbridge Public Library to reopen Friday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Book readers rejoice, the Lethbridge Library is set to reopen this week.

Both the Crossings and Main branches will reopen on Friday, July 2, with most services returning to pre-pandemic levels. Beginning July 2, services will be as follows:

  • Browsing will be available, with physical distancing encouraged.
  • Curbside Pick Up service will continue to be available. Hours can be found here.
  • Computer services, including printing and photocopying, will be available.
  • Internet on the Go and Printing on the Go services will continue to be available at the Main Branch in downtown Lethbridge. More details are available here.
  • Exam invigilation will be available. Anyone looking to book can do so by emailing exams@lethlib.ca or by calling 403-320-4954 (Main Branch) or 403-320-4037 (Crossings Branch).
  • Some in-person outdoor programming will be available.

Programming like the children’s story times will continue to stream online with planning for in-branch offerings happening for the Fall. Meanwhile, the Bookmobile will continue to offer Curbside Pick Up throughout the summer. A schedule is available here.

As of this time, face masks will be required when visiting a library branch. Anyone unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition will require a medical exemption letter from an authorized health professional. The Public Library noted that services may change based on the evolving pandemic situation.
