Crews respond to multi-vehicle fire Thursday morning

COALDALE, AB – At approximately 4:00 am Thursday morning, Coaldale, Picture Butte, and Lethbridge Fire Services were called to a multi-vehicle fire in Coaldale.

Coaldale crews needed assistance from the local detachments due to some crews still trying to control the Green Prairie fire at the time.

There is limited information at the moment, but Chief Administrative Officer with the Lethbridge County, Ann Mitchell, says no one was harmed in the fire.

“There were no injuries, just damage to four vehicles. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Lethbridge County would like to thank the fire departments who responded in such a quick and timely manner to ensure the fire did not spread further.”

Coaldale Fire and Emergency services thanked everyone involved to help put out the fire.

“Thanks to our mutual aid partners for assisting and to our dedicated volunteers for staying up all night serving our communities.”
