Stampeders assistant coach named to board of directors for local football club
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Vipers have added an assistant coach in the CFL to its ranks.
Mark Kilam has been named to the football team’s board of directors. Kilam is entering his 17th season with the Calgary Stampeders, and second as the CFL club’s assistant head coach.
He holds strong ties to Lethbridge, having graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in 1997. Kilam then went on to play linebacker for the University of Alberta from 1997 to 2001. Prior to joining the Stampeders, he coached on the defensive staff of the Southern Alberta All-Star Team in the Provincial Senior Bowl from 2003 to 2005. He also coached on the defensive staff with the Cochrane Cobras from 2002-2005 and went undefeated and won three provincial titles.
