Crews investigating train fire near Sparwood, B.C.

SPARWOOD, B.C. – A team of investigators with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has been called out to an area near Sparwood.

Near the community, just across the provincial border in Southeastern B.C., the TSB says the fire involves a CP Rail freight train.

At this time, there are no details on a potential cause or if anybody was hurt.

The TSB will gather information and assess the situation before releasing any further details.
