Lethbridge’s street-sweeping program completed for the year
LETHBRIDGE, AB – That’s a wrap on the City of Lethbridge’s street-sweeping campaign for this year.
The annual initiative sees street-sweeping vehicles traveling across city streets cleaning up dust, dirt and debris. The city noted that residents who live in the Fleetwood, Tudor and Scenic Heights neighborhoods did not see the sweepers on their roads this year, but they will have their streets swept first during the 2022 campaign.
Crews also experienced some delays, which impacted the ability to get to all neighborhoods in a timely manner and within budget. A release from the city read that, “the financial implications of a reduced budget means that this will likely result in some neighborhoods not being completed each year.”
“The patience and understanding of residents who did encounter rescheduled timelines during this year’s program has been greatly appreciated.”
