Incident at Kipp railyard leads to three-car derailment

KIPP, AB – A train derailment near Kipp is under investigation.

At around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, CP Rail says an incident occurred within its Kipp yard.

It resulted in three cars derailing upright.

CP Rail says there were no injuries and no concerns for the public’s safety.

The incident was tended to by crews and equipment and was resolved overnight.
