Blood Tribe Police Commission confirms termination of Police Chief contract

BLOOD RESERVE, AB. — The Blood Tribe Police Commission has issued a news release, that on August 4, the existing contract with Blood Tribe Police Chief Kyle Melting Tallow has been terminated.

The Commission determined the termination was without cause and all terms were met respectfully by both parties“. They “thanked Kyle for his years of work with the Blood Tribe Police Service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.“

The Commission determined the matter is closed and no additional details would be released.

The Blood Tribe Police Commission also announced Sergeant Grant Buckskin, as the interim BTPS Chief of Police. Sgt. Buckskin brings 30 years of policing experience and is a member of the Blood Tribe.
