Heat records set in 25 Alberta communities Saturday
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Saturday, August 14 was a scorcher in Alberta, and Sunday is set to be no different.
Environment Canada says more than two dozen daily maximum temperature records were set in the province.
The hottest was Esther as the Southeastern Alberta community hit 38 degrees, breaking their previous record of 34.5 set in 1994.
In Lethbridge, the mercury reached 36.1, overtaking 2003’s record of 34.
