Calgary Flames sign RFA defenceman Connor Mackey, veteran forward Brad Richardson
CALGARY — The Calgary Flames are beefing up their roster ahead of training camp, signing a pair of players to new contracts.
The club said in a release Wednesday that it had signed defenceman Connor Mackey to a two-year deal with an average annual value of US$912,500 and veteran forward Brad Richardson to a one-year, $800,000 contract.
Mackey, 24, was a restricted free agent who made his NHL debut for the Flames last season, recording a goal and two assists in six appearances.
Calgary signed the undrafted native of Tower Lakes, Ill., in March 2020 after Mackey played his college career with Minnesota State University.
