Canadian-born forward Emery Welshman returns to CPL champions Forge FC
HAMILTON — Canadian-born forward Emery Welshman is returning to Forge FC.
The 29-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., made 13 appearances for the Canadian Premier League champion in its inaugural 2019 season. He had four goals and two assists with Forge while on loan from Major League Soccer’s FC Cincinnati.
Most recently he spent time in the Israeli first and second divisions with Hapoel Raanana, Ihud Bnei Sakhnin and Hapoel Haifa.
“We are very happy to welcome Emery back to Forge,” director of football Costa Smyrniotis said in a statement. “He returns to Hamilton with quality experiences gained internationally, which will prove to be a valuable addition to our squad both on and off the field.”
