Belinda Crowson running for re-election for Lethbridge City Council

LETHBRIDGE, AB – After serving one term as a member of Lethbridge City Council, Belinda Crowson is running for re-election.

Crowson says “as we come out of this pandemic I would like to tackle some of these issues, some of these social issues.”

She says prioritizing social, security, and economic issues will help create growth for Lethbridge coming out of the pandemic.

“We have been very fortunate in Lethbridge, we came out with a much better economy than some other communities did from the pandemic but we can’t rest on our laurels, we have to keep supporting that and supporting businesses as they redevelop.”

If re-elected, Crowson wants to make sure community members are able to share their ideas and suggestions with council more than before.

She wants to let residents know she will hear the community and their voice and then make the right decisions when those ideas are presented in the council chambers.

When asked why people should vote for her, she said because of her work ethic.

“I would say I work incredibly hard, I do my research, I understand the issues, and I serve as I am here for the people of Lethbridge.

She encourages people “regardless of who they vote for to get out and vote as the past few municipal elections turnout has been poor.”

Prior to general election day on October 18, there will be three weekends of advance voting:

  • October 1, 2 – City Hall (Downtown)
  • October 8, 9, 10 – Exhibition Park drive-through (East)
  • October 14, 15, 16 – ATB Centre (West)
