Jansen, Dickerson hit home runs for Blue Jays in 6-4 win over Orioles
TORONTO — Steven Matz pitched a strong seven-plus innings for his team-leading 14th win and got enough run support Friday as the Toronto Blue Jays kept their playoff hopes alive.
The Jays held off the late-charging Baltimore Orioles 6-4 before 28,859 at Rogers Centre.
Toronto (89-71) has two regular-season games remaining in their battle for the American League’s second wild card slot.
The Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners began the final weekend one game up on Toronto.
