Semi collides with Mayor Magrath Drive rail bridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — By 1:00 Monday (Oct 18) afternoon a crew was still cleaning up after a semi trailer struck the underside of the CPR bridge on Mayor Magrath Drive.

Fire crews responded when the collision happened around 11:10 a.m. as the semi headed northbound.

CP Rail has inspected the bridge and train service was continued. Mayor Magrath Drive at the CP Rail bridge and under Highway 3 was closed in both directions during clean-up and was reopened around 3:00-pm.

No injuries are reported and
