Five people charged as LPS seizes weapons, drugs and stolen property
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Two women and three men were arrested as a result of a search warrant at a home in the 400-block of 12-B street north on Wednesday, (Oct 20).
Public complaints about possible illegal activity at the residence and follow-up police surveillance which noted heavy foot, bicycle and vehicle traffic, prompted the search warrant.
The LPS Crime Suppression Team, along with Priority Crimes and a K-9 unit seized stolen property that included two bicycles, various assorted power and other tools and two-way radios. Also seized were brass knuckles and bear spray, more than 75 unknown pills, and small amounts of methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy) and fentanyl along with paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Individuals were arrested inside of the home and released from custody with court dates set for early December.
