Lethbridge YMCA to require proof of vaccination for 12-17 year olds
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Starting November 1, 2021, all participants and visitors to YMCA facilities 12 years and older will be required to show proof of two vaccinations, a valid medical exemption, or a negative, privately-paid COVID test.
“Previously, participants and visitors over the age of 18 were required to do so as part of the Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program,” the release reads
The YMCA says the “rollout of the Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program has been positive for the YMCA and members. The vast majority of adult members and participants have provided proof of vaccination online so their experience at the Cor Van Raay YMCA or at a child care centre when picking up a child has been seamless.”
Jennifer Petracek-Kolb, CEO of the YMCA of Lethbridge, says these measures are important to the YMCA and Lethbridge.
