LPS investigating hit-and-run collision

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police are searching for a person involved in a hit-and-run Wednesday morning.

Around 6:00 am, officers initially responded to a report of a theft from a truck and trailer that was parked in the 900 block of 19 Ave South.

While on scene, police received a report of a hit-and-run involving two vehicles in the 1200 block of 5A Ave South.

According to LPS, the offending vehicle was heading westbound on 5A Ave South and collided with a parked, vacant vehicle. The driver was seen fleeing on foot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they identified property in the offending vehicle that matched the descriptions of the stolen items.
