Lethbridge County Division 5 by-election to be held December 13

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – On Monday, December 13, 2021, residents of Division 5 in Lethbridge County will have the opportunity to cast a vote for their Council representative.

This is due to the county not receiving any candidate nominations for Division 5 for the Municipal Election on October 18.

The Province has directed the County to hold a by-election to fill the vacant spot.

The nomination period opens Friday, October 29, and those interested in running have until Monday, November 15, at noon to submit their nomination papers.

Papers can be picked up at the Lethbridge administration office (#100, 905 4 Avenue S.) or downloaded at lethcounty.ca/p/election-2021.

Papers must be filed at the Lethbridge office during office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

An Advance Vote will be held on Saturday, December 4, locations and times for the Advance Vote and Election Day will be announced at a later date on the County’s website.
