Ag for Life becomes new home for the Classroom Agriculture Program
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Agriculture for Life (Ag for Life) has acquired the Classroom Agriculture Program (CAP) in Alberta.
CAP was originally created to enhance students’ understanding of agriculture and where their food comes from, by fostering a greater respect for the industry and the individuals who make Alberta-based food production a reality.
By highlighting the value and importance of agriculture in Alberta, CAP volunteers have been creating a positive impact on Alberta children for the past 35 years. In that time, over 600,000 grade four students have participated in the program
Due to COVID, CAP had to take a two-year break. However, the program is set to relaunch in January of 2022, when it will be offered by Ag for Life, which has been a long standing partner.
